22 weeks pregnant

So many people have been clamoring for a picture of me pregnant. Why? I don't know. They have seen it before and it isn't that great. :) I am not a big fan of what pregnancy does to me so this is the one and only picture session I have done. Here it is. It was at 20 weeks. I will try to take another one soonish. Sorry for the weird faces it was kind of bright outside and we had just come out of the house and were on our way to the airport to come back to GA.

The past two weekends

Well I wanted to post a few pictures from Easter. We spent Easter with Nonna and Pop-pop up in Virginia. We had a great time and so did Isabella and Gianna. One evening we went out to dinner and the girls stayed with them at colored Easter eggs. I don't have those pictures unfortunately. I have to get them from my mother-in-law. Here are a few of the pictures we took. We had an Easter Egg Hunt in the house and the girls enjoyed sifting through their Easter egg baskets. Isabella got a doll, some books, bubbles, and a little toy chick.

This past weekend my parents came down to visit and my brother and his wife came down as well. We were so busy I didn't take many pictures but here are some pictures of our projects. We got a lot done. We made over Isabella's room (which was something I had been wanting to do forever) with my mom and Cristina's help. We also built a lower deck and spruced up the flower bed in the back yard. Nick and I are so thankful for all the help. Isabella's room and the deck look amazing! We are so happy. We still have a few things to finish up but for the most part everything looks good.

Isabella goes hunting...for Easter eggs that is

Today my moms club had a family day and we had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Isabella had a ball as you can see from the attached video. She also had a blast just playing in Ellie's playroom with all the other little kids. I had a lot of fun watching Isabella at her first Easter egg hunt. It is hard to believe she old enough to run around and do that. She also started saying "egg" today. I think she has finally unlocked her language abilities and is starting to really take off in her words. I am so excited about that!

Wehadababyitsaboy!

We had our ultrasound yesterday and we found out it was healthy and everything looked good and that we were having a boy. It was pretty unmistakable. I said it before the ultrasound tech did. Here is the video of us finding out the sex. It was really exciting!



We were totally ready for either one, but it is so exciting to think we will add a boy to our brood come August. I think this household needs the testosterone to balance us out. Hopefully little Jack will be strong enough to stand up to his big sister. She is pretty tough and I can see her being pretty bossy as she gets older.

A friend of mine just gave me some hand me down baby boy stuff today. It was pretty exciting to hold baby boy clothes and know that I will have a baby to put in those clothes soon. All in all yesterday was an exciting day and we are so happy to be growing our family.

Playing with daddy

Isabella's favorite part of the day is when her daddy gets home...without question. Yesterday he had to come home late and she was walking around the house calling for Dad and looking out the window and yelling for him. She just loves playing rough with daddy. Here is a video on an early Sunday morning of Isabella playing with daddy in our downstairs guest room. She just takes the hits and keeps on going. You can see when he hits her with a pillow she starts signing more.




In other news, she is starting to show signs that she is working on her talking skills. She has voluntarily said "down" to get down without me having to ask her if she wants to get down. She is beginning to repeat words I say, well at least she tries and it sounds more like the words than it did before. Her "bye-bye" "hi" "no" and "uh-oh" have become really clear. We are just noticing some good changes, she seems to be showing more interest in it.

She is also really getting good at imaginative play. She likes to manipulate her baby doll to sign things, like "blanket" and "daddy". She likes to brush her babies' and her animals' "teeth" Anything she does she likes her babies to do. She will hold their arms and make them wave and say "hi" and she likes her stuffed elephant to eat with her. It is really fun to watch her imagination take hold and see the way it changes her playing. She sends her Little Einsteins characters down the slide and says "Weee" for them. She is just getting cuter every day. Now if we could just get her to really start talking I would be thrilled. I just can't wait to really hear her cute little voice.
