Nature Walk

Last week we had a day with some decent weather.  It was obviously still a little chilly since we are wearing sweatshirts, but the sun was out and we weren't wearing winter coats...so it is a step in the right direction.  We decided to get outside and explore.  We just walked from the house down the street and to our surprise we are living really really close to Lake Natalie and there is a river that runs right behind the cul-de-sac.

We also found a rock that had been cut in 4 pieces...
An awesome stick... (the river is behind Isabella)

This is the lake that is right down the street.  I don't know if/where there is public access to this lake.  This was behind a house where no one was home.  We walked down their driveway and peeked behind the house.  They had a little beach for their house that was right on the lake.

We had another pretty good weather day the next day so we headed out in the back yard woods and walked towards the river.  Pretty cool, but hard to walk through the uneven terrain with two kids.
That is our house in the top right of the picture.

We are looking forward to more consistent good weather...a couple days ago we had snow flurries!  But the couple days we had were really fun!
