We started this week with our first week of preschool at home! We are using the Sonlight Preschool Curriculum. We are loving it! Isabella was so excited to get started and her excitement didn't let up all week. I think she loves the learning and loves the special time with mommy. We have already learned some pretty great things! She is getting much better at circling things and drawing lines...something she really didn't know how to do at all when the week began. She also did great with the memory verse this week. I was really impressed! We are really excited for week 2!
So excited for the first day of school!

Learning how to circle
Jack did not want to be left out so he often colored while we did school work.
He cheers for himself every time he makes a mark on the page. I have to get
that on video. He goes "yea!" each time he colors.
We had a rainy start to the week, so the first sunny day we got outside and headed to the park. We brought a pail of water and pretended to be Jack and Jill (one of the nursery rhymes we read this week). We also brought a paintbrush and used the water to paint on the sidewalk. We had fun! Then we headed to Chick-fil-a for some dry fun.

After lunch we took Jack over and got his haircut. The hair around his ears was driving him crazy!
Jack liked sitting in the car
Isabella got to sit in the car next to him just for fun.
One of our errands to the grocery turned out to be even more fun since they had lots of pumpkins and gourds out for purchase. This was one huge pumpkin. Isabella picked out two little white pumpkins and Jack got a gourd. Fall is definitely in the air, but we are still waiting for all that Fall weather to hang around.
A huge pumpkin for sale outside a local grocery store
Jack got a gourd from the grocery and loved saying the word.
Jack has also been going on the potty a couple times a day. He showed interest after watching Isabella go potty. He would say potty and ask to get on, so I bought him an awesome potty seat from Prince Lionheart. It is so comfortable he will sit there forever. He is by no means potty trained, but it is nice to have him go poop on the potty as often as he will because those are a few less dirty diapers to change.
